When you need flowers today, Chappell's Florist makes it easy. We offer same day flower delivery in Burlington and South Burlington, VT, every arrangement is designed by our local florists and delivered by hand — never boxed, never shipped.
Whether you’re sending birthday flowers, sympathy arrangements or something meaningful “just because” our team works quickly and carefully to make sure your flowers arrive fresh and beautifully presented.
How Same Day Delivery Works
Same day delivery is available on select arrangements in our local delivery area. Orders are prepared in-house by experienced florists who understand the timing and care needed for same day service.
To qualify for same day delivery:
- Monday – Saturday: Orders must be placed by 11:00 AM (local time)
- Sunday: Same day delivery is not available
Availability may vary depending on volume, destination, and weather.

We serve the Burlington and South Burlington metro area, including nearby communities and local institutions. Our regular delivery routes include:
- Burlington & South Burlington
- Williston, Shelburne, Charlotte, Colchester
- Winooski, Essex, Essex Junction

- Saint Michael’s College
All deliveries are done locally to ensure flowers arrive fresh and on time.
Delivery Time Windows
Delivery times are by route not by appointment which helps us serve more customers efficiently and keep flowers in top condition.
Businesses:
Monday–Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Homes, hotels, hospitals and funeral services:
Monday–Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
We can’t guarantee exact delivery times but you can include a preferred time frame at checkout and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Saturday & Holiday Delivery
Same day delivery is available on Saturdays in the South Burlington area with the same 11:00 AM cutoff time. On major flower holidays like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day delivery hours may be extended to meet increased demand. During these times deliveries may start earlier and go later in the day.
Please note that Saturday delivery outside the immediate South Burlington area may be limited as some of our partner florists don’t operate extended weekend routes.
Minimum Order & Pricing
To qualify for delivery:
- The product subtotal must be $39.99 or more before tax and delivery fees
- Delivery fees are calculated and shown at checkout
- Discounts apply to qualifying orders only and cannot be combined
Delivery Outside the South Burlington Area
If your recipient is outside our regular delivery zone we can often arrange delivery by working with a local florist in that area.
For best results:
- Place same day orders by 11:00 AM (Monday–Saturday) in the recipient’s time zone
- Sunday same day delivery outside the local area is not guaranteed
Special Delivery Guidelines
Some delivery locations have special rules we follow:
Hospital deliveries
Some hospitals do not allow latex balloons. When needed we may substitute Mylar balloons to comply with facility policies.
School deliveries
Deliveries for students are left with the main office. Teacher deliveries are best scheduled for early morning to ensure arrival before 1:00 PM.
P.O. Boxes
Flowers cannot be delivered to P.O. Box or A.P.O. addresses.
If No One Is Home
If the recipient isn’t home at the time of delivery our driver may:
- Leave the flowers with a neighbor
- Place them in a safe, sheltered location
- Leave a delivery notice with instructions for follow-up
Address Accuracy & Order Changes
Please double check delivery details at checkout. Chappell’s Florist cannot be responsible for deliveries made to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.
Same day orders are processed quickly and can’t be changed or cancelled once design begins. If you need assistance, call 802-658-4733 as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help.
In some cases we may contact the recipient to confirm availability or clarify delivery details.
Doorstep Delivery & Weather Considerations. If you want flowers left at the door, responsibility is transferred once delivery is complete. We strongly advise against unattended deliveries during hot or cold weather as temperature exposure can affect flower quality.
