Natural Elements to Add to Your Wedding Flowers

Natural Elements to Add to Your Wedding Flowers

Posted by Chappell's Florist on 1st Aug 2021

We know that getting creative with wedding flowers is not easy! Usually, natural elements such as plum winter buds, twisted branches, and seed pods are used to twist up your wedding flowers a notch.

These natural elements are usually referred to as 'air elements' and they make your wedding bouquet look beautiful and interesting. They give your floral designs either a rustic feel or a romantic look. At Chappell's Florist, we love to create the sweetest wedding flowers — and it shows in our floral designs.

Here are some of the natural elements that can be added to your wedding flowers.

Dogwoods

These are amazing natural elements that add color and warmth to your flower arrangements. They are usually available during winter, but if you want something unique in your wedding flowers, they are worth sourcing in other seasons.

Contorted Hazel

They are commonly used during winter when their catkins emerge but can also be stored for other times of the year and used bare. When used during winter, it makes your floral designs look more interesting. It can be used to enhance your wedding bouquet, cake decorations, and every other flower arrangement idea you may have (table and roof arrangements alike).

Magnolia Stellata

Magnolia branches are quite beautiful. They are bare and have soft fury buds during winter. Of all the magnolia stellata branches, the star magnolia is finer and has more buds. Combined with a green magnolia, this can give you an amazing, natural-looking bouquet.

Tortured Willow

This natural element can be taller and great for giving a dramatic feel to your flower arrangements. It is also often used on center table pieces.

Several other natural elements can be added to your wedding flower design to enhance the tortured willow and make it look more beautiful or dramatic depending on your preference.

However, if you need a florist in south Burlington to help you with amazing flower arrangements and bouquet designs, look no further because Chappell's Florist has got you covered!
